1.Wet-process: raw materials: Phosphate rock + Sulfuric acid (made from sulfur)
2.Thermal-process: raw materials: Yellow phosphorus + Air + Water

High-priced sulfur has driven up the cost of wet-process phosphoric acid, prompting the market to automatically seek lower-cost alternatives. The shift of some demand from "wet process" to "thermal process" directly stimulates the demand for yellow phosphorus.

As phophoric acid is the main raw material of many phosphates like sodium tripolyphosphate, sodium hexametaphosphate, sodium acid pyrophosphate etc., these phosphates prices will also be hard to drop in short time.
