- Flame Retardant: THPC is widely used as a flame retardant for cotton and polyester-cotton fabrics. Due to its reactive hydroxymethyl groups, it can form polymers with various substances such as amines and phenols. When used as a flame retardant, it can be used in combination with several resin oligomers to provide excellent flame retardancy to cotton fabrics. The flame retardancy of fabrics treated with THPC remains effective even after repeated washing.
- Textile Finishing Agent: In addition to its flame retardant properties, THPC can also be used as a textile finishing agent to improve the overall properties of fabrics.
